[Debt Snowball] End of September 2017 update

September was a good month for paying down some debt. I was on a sabbatical from work for most of the month, so I saved some money on gas. Before my sabbatical, I was able to get 12 hours of OT in on Labor Day weekend and put all of that extra money toward paying down my debt!

Here’s a snapshot of where I am at the end of September 2017:

  • Capital One Credit Card current balance – $0.00
    PAID OFF! starting balance at beginning of January 2017: $1,392.73
  • Credit Union Line of Personal Credit current balance - $0.00
    PAID OFF! starting balance at beginning of February 2017: $6,446.31
  • Car Loan current balance- $4,382.01
    starting balance at beginning of January 2017 $7,431.64
    $3,049.63 paid off this year.
    Estimated pay off date: January 2018
  • Student Loan #1 current balance - $6,235.77
    starting balance at beginning of January 2017 $7,805.57
    $1,569.80 paid off this year.
    Estimated pay off date: April 2018
  • Student Loan #2 current balance - $9,243.83
    starting balance at beginning of January 2017 $9,749.15
    $505.32 paid off this year
    Estimated pay off date: October 2018
  • Student Loan #3 current balance - $13,663.87
    starting balance at beginning of January 2017 $14,452.24
    $788.37 paid off this year
    Estimated pay off date: May 2019

TOTAL DEBT PAID OFF SO FAR IN 2017: $13,752.16

TOTAL DEBT LEFT TO PAY – $33,525.48 ESTIMATED PAYOFF DATE – MAY 2019
